Our facility is the only self-storage yard physically situated inside municipal boundaries at 701 N Raum St, 1.3 miles east of Highway 69 on the Ray County side.
Two counties, one small town, and a rule about campers
The county line explains the rest. A municipality of 2,541 people runs on a Kansas City commute because half of it faces that way. The second factor is municipal code: local ordinances restrict what can sit on a residential lot.

Which counties do you serve?
Ray and Clay. Our municipality sits across the line between them, and the yard on N Raum St is on the Ray County side. Nothing about renting depends on which county you live in, but it explains why the area faces two directions at once.
Where do I turn off Highway 69?
From Highway 69, turn east on Highway D -- a Sonic Drive-In will be on your right along the way. Continue about 1.3 miles, and just before the railroad underpass, turn left onto N Raum St. The entrance is 302 feet on your left, about 30 seconds off the highway.
One more thing worth knowing: this stretch of road shows up under two different addresses on some map apps. If a pin drops somewhere unexpected, trust these directions -- the railroad underpass and the turn stay the same regardless of what any map says.
How far is it from surrounding communities to the facility?
Excelsior Springs is 9.2 miles by road and Holt 8.9, both around twenty minutes. Kearney is 13.9 and Lathrop 15.5, about the same again. Polo 20.3, Richmond 21.1, Plattsburg 22.1 and Orrick 22.7 run from half an hour to a little over.
Do you serve people who commute into Kansas City?
Yes. Our area is part of the Kansas City metropolitan region. Living here and working in the city is an ordinary arrangement rather than an unusual one. For storage, that mostly matters early, late and at weekends.
